Update

The rapid onset and constantly changing coronavirus situation has convinced me to end my walk of the South West Coast Path. Apart from the fact that rail companies may start reducing services, thereby making my return home by train from Poole uncertain, I believe that my time can be better spent back home helping any initiatives within my community. I shall, therefore, be returning home in the next few days.

  1. A wise decision. I know what it's like to abandon awalk that you have long planned and cherished. I had to do the same when my daughter was unexpectadly made redundant. This thing is as much about protecting others from the possibility of passing it on before one knows one is affected as well as self preservation, that is apoint some peole seeing themselves as apparently healthy seem to not undersatmd.

  2. I'm sorry you had to make that decision, Geoff, but I think it was the right one. Give my love to Amanda!

  3. Well done Geoff, a great effort and shame to finish early but for the best considering the current state of the nation and the world.
Been a pleasure to read your blogs and do hope to accompany when my back allows.

  4. Disappointing to have to end your adventure like that, Geoff, but probably no other choice. I'm sure you'll be back on the trail again as soon as this pandemonium is over!
